Fireworks Alternatives

All over the country fireworks displays are being cancelled, parades are cancelled, & people are being recommended to stay home to avoid spreading the Coronavirus. we found this article from Radio.com with alternatives to make celebrating the Fourth of July holiday special.

– Backyard Sports Competitions. Corn hole, three-legged races, even road rallies are fun alternatives to fireworks. Give away small prizes, take pics, have fun!

– S’mores & S’mores. Make the traditional s’mores recipe a little more exciting with different candy bars, flavored marshmallows, & fruit. Have a competition on who can make the tallest s’more or tastiest s’more!

– Backyard Campout. Grab a tent (or even a bedsheet draped over a clothesline) and “rough it”. Don’t have a firepit? Grab a cheap portable grill and roast weenies or marshmallows. Unplug and tell ghost stories. Enjoy the great outdoors!
